It is never too early to plan for college.
That is the mission of Jessica Kaiser, the highly dedicated College and Career Counselor/AP Coordinator for Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Ms. Kaiser’s tireless efforts over the course of the school year are aimed at preparing the students and families for careers after high school
On the evening of Wednesday, December 10, she held another informative and valuable session, Junior Planning Night, at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
The high school’s main cafeteria was filled with an estimated crowd of over 200 parents and students.
Ms. Kaiser explained the program's goal.
“Students and parents learned about the various post-secondary options, trends in college admissions, how to research various colleges, graduation requirements, scheduling for senior year and were provided with many resources,” she stated.
Ms Kaiser continued to describe the evening event.
“Parents were also given a brief demonstration on the College and Career platform, Naviance, that is utilized by students. The presentation was emailed to all parents and posted to the Bridgewater-Raritan High School website. Parents also received an email to activate their Naviance account,” Ms. Kaiser said.
She concluded with this tip.
“Students and parents should reach out to the counseling department at any time with questions or concerns as we are here to support your child through this process! “
