B volleyball at Monroe

An exciting boys’ volleyball match between two state-ranked squads in Bridgewater-Raritan High School and Monroe Township High School fittingly came own to the wire on Friday, April 4.

After fifth-ranked Bridgewater-Raritan (3-2) trailed by one point late in game two against 11th-ranked Monroe (4-2), the Panthers rallied to force the decisive third se with eight of the match’s next 12 points.

Neither team led by more than three points in game three until the final two points of the match, which saw Monroe pull away late for an epic 2-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-20) victory over Bridgewater-Raritan in Monroe.

Next up for Bridgewater-Raritan (3-2) will be a home match against Lenape High School (3-1) at 5:15 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium in Bridgewater.
