Van Holten Primary School students were honored with a special visit on Veterans Day.
On Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, Mark Szymanski, a Campus Monitor for the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, visited the Van Holten library to read a special book about honoring those who make sacrifices for our country.
According to Meghan Kipila, Van Holten’s Library, Media Specialist, Security Officer Szymanski shared with the students that his own son is a member of the United States Navy and currently works at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
The students listened attentively as Security Officer Szymanski discussed courage, service, and the importance of supporting those who protect our country.
